Grandson week


My grandsons are here this week and what a great time we are having together.  They are 9 and 14, both into building intricate lego sets.  In the evenings we are reading The Power of a Praying Kid by Stormie Omartian.  What great conversations we are having as a result of it.  Last night we talked about fears associated with nightmares.  I am learning with them more about faith in the power of God.  We looked through scripture for help with those fears and found Joshua 1:9 fit the nightmare situation best.  “Be strong and courageous.  Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”  So grateful that God is faithful to keep his word.

Today’s agenda includes a hike in the woods on this sunny winter day.



Dear Lord, You know how much I need your help with my thoughts that are so often unlike you and keep me from sweet fellowship with you. Thank you for providing your Word to refocus my thoughts on You and your purposes for my life.
