Standing True to God
While held in a Nazi concentration camp, Corrie ten Boom shared the hope we have in Jesus Christ with her fellow prisoners. God used the lice that tormented them, as the lice discouraged the guards from coming into their barracks. Consequently, Corrie was able to freely tell others about Christ.
Corrie was true to the God of heaven no matter her circumstances, just as we read about Daniel of the Bible. Daniel was also held captive, but “Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.” Daniel 6:10:b
Corrie and Daniel inspire me to serve the Lord whatever my circumstances, even at the expense of my comforts or preferences. Whatever my situation, may the God of heaven be the center of my life.
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for.” Hebrews 11:1-2
